balloon story, south wharf

The global phenomenon Balloon Story has now arrived in Melbourne!

Take a whimsical journey through a balloon wonderland, with sculptures and interactive exhibits, featuring over 400,000 balloons!

The kiddos will absolutely love this one, with no age restrictions and free entry for kids under 3, and Mamma was absolutely gobsmacked when walking through the door into a world of spectacular colour and creative artistic masterpieces.

You’ll easily spend over an hour working your way through the exhibition, with HEAPS of photo ops alongside and within the displays, plus a GINORMOUS ball pit! There’s even a balloon maze with different characters hiding around each corner.

You’ll also see a giant Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, aquarium tunnel, and so much more, all put together with a tonne of hard work by a team of local balloon artists.

Balloon Story also takes pride in the fact that the exhibit is eco-friendly, with the balloons being crafted from latex.

It’s also pram and wheelchair accessible, located at door 16 within the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. MCEC have their own Wilson parking (park closer to door 9 in the carpark) or there’s the multi-level at DFO South Wharf.
