FREE travel for Under 18's in Victoria
/Mamma Knows you’ve probably heard the exciting news! Public transport is now FREE for kids!
From January 1, all public transport in Victoria is FREE for anyone under 18.
What does this mean?
Aside from big savings for some families, it also means more adventures, more exploring and more memorable experiences with family and friends.
Accessing free travel is super easy.
Just register your kiddo for a Youth myki online, or purchase in person at most staffed stations. The card costs five dollars to set up, and that’s it, no top ups ever again!
The kids still need to tap on like the grown ups, but once they have their card, you’re good to go wherever your adventure takes you.
You'll be able to get a Youth myki online on the Transport Vic website and at most staffed stations.
Oh, and don’t miss these activations around Melbourne!
