plans for the planet, olaf breuning for kids @ ngv international

Who says winter has to be miserable and grey? Step into the enchanting world Olaf Breuning has created - but mind your step, the floor is lava!

NGV has a new FREE exhibition for the little ones called Plans for the Planet by artist Olaf Breuning… Mamma thinks this adventure is one you want to visit, so get in quick - it’s on until October 5th!

Now this is an adventure playground filled with everything your little one needs to express their thoughts about our planet through animation, technology, art and exploration.

Walk in through the colourful doors and make your way to the instructions board where your little ones will learn how to navigate the space.

Press the green button to take a card, then look for the flowers throughout the exhibit - your minis can swipe the flowers to then see the surprises displayed on the interactive screens!

Make sure you return your cards on the way out - there’s a special area to do so before you exit.

There’s three specific exploration spaces too:

- Nature and Us, where your little ones will step into a forest-inspired space, complete drawings and even get comfy in a hollow and read Olaf’s colourful book about nature

- Just a Person, where the kids can create digital self-portraits, and parents can download them onto their phones

- And Our Plans for the Planet, where the kids can listen to forest animals, and interact with the technology provided

There are heaps of activities too for the kids across the exhibition period so make sure to check out the NGV website - including story time for the book created by Olaf Breuning, and even relaxed sessions for those who could benefit from a quieter gallery experience.

Oh, Mamma thought we’d mention again that this exhibit is FREE, and suitable for children of all ages!
