melbourne international flower and garden show 2026

There’s no better way to pass down your love of gardening than to bring your kids along to the magical Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show!

This is so much more than a lovely day out in the city. Explore garden displays, garden and yard accessories, purchase plants from exhibitors, get expert advice, as well as enjoy live music, food and drinks.

For kids, there are lots of games dotted around, activity bags and interactive workshops like carving wood to make your own pair of chopsticks!

It is located at Carlton Gardens and the show extends into the Royal Exhibition Building where there are floral displays, art and sculpture exhibitions, installations, workshops and talks, as well as high tea (for which you must book in advance).

Food trucks are dotted around the exhibition, with pockets of grass and tables to sit and enjoy some lunch, coffee, ice cream, and maybe a cheeky gin!

This is the perfect place to get inspiration for your garden, have a fun day out, plus you get to shop and take stock home to keep the joy of gardening lasting longer!

Mamma highly recommends pulling on those gumboots, grabbing your trolley and getting a ticket to the Flower and Garden Show!
