Roll up! Roll up! Christmas Carnival has arrived in heart of the city!

On every day until Christmas Eve, enjoy the splendour of carnival rides and games, in the beautiful Alexandra Gardens by the banks of the Yarra.

Try your luck at the laughing clowns, go fishing for prizes in the fishing bowl or sit back and enjoy the views of the city from atop the ferris wheel.

The carnival is well spaced out, with suitable rides for little tykes, including a looping train ride; as well as rides for bigger kids and adults like the sky flyer and dodgem cars.

Entry is free and ride coupons can be purchased from the kiosks onsite - about $8 for kids rides and $12 for adult rides.

Mamma recommends bringing a picnic to enjoy at the numerous picnic tables with umbrellas as food is limited.
