le bajo milkbar, howard st north melbourne

Tucked into a corner in a former warehouse in North Melbourne is a delightful and cosy cafe. Colouring in pencils, books and a couple of toys mean you can take a seat on a lounge or dining table and enjoy some absolutely fantastic food with your little one.

Mamma loves the yuzu lemonade with matcha cream on a hot day, and the sticky terriyaki hot chips are addictive! But it’s shokupan who is king here. Le Bajo make it in-house and can be enjoyed as sando, toast set or as a fruit cream sando.

A cute shop at the entrance sells some branded merch, tote bags, stickers and more.

Mamma loves it here, but be warned… this is the kind of place you can sit back and chill so make sure you have some time up your sleeve!
