Found down the Paris end of Little Collins Street, Sheraton Melbourne Hotel delivers on location, hospitality and style, now with a family staycation created as a lasting part of its offering. The package includes two welcome drinks for the grown ups and special kids’ welcome amenities for those under 12. The second Mamma opened the door to the hotel room, Little Miss 6 set up camp right by the window to complete the activities in her welcome pack while Mamma and Mr Mamma took a moment to enjoy the lush view of Treasury Gardens.
And because we are not yet ready to give the 3-year-old the unbridled freedom of a “big boy” bed, Mamma loves how accommodating they were in providing a cot when requested.
Once settled in, the options are endless! Stay close to base with a dip in the indoor heated pool or grab a drink at the outdoor terrace bar (both located on level 3 by the hotel spa).

Dining at the hotel is delicious, easy and reasonable. Little Collin’s Street Kitchen is dishing up fresh, contemporary meals designed to satisfy every palate. And guess what… kids eat free!
The salmon is cooked to perfection while the pressed lamb shoulder is so full of flavour, that Mamma couldn’t help but sneak forkfuls of it when no one was looking. With deliciously charred bread and incredibly fresh oysters to boot, grownups leave very happy indeed.
What Mamma actually loves the most is that the kids’ menu isn’t filled with the regular chicken and chips, spag bol or cheeseburgers. With healthy options like vegetable noodles or chicken and rice on offer, it makes getting some nutrients into the little ones just that little bit easier when away from home.
The Family Getaway package also includes buffet breakfast for two adults with complimentary breakfast also included for kids 12 and under. From fresh fruits and yogurts to cereals and pastries as well as a selection of hot foods and eggs made to order - Mamma can’t think of a better way to start the day.
