The Van Gogh exhibition is set to return in December to Australia's first permanent digital gallery here in Melbourne. THE LUME is incredible and The Van Gogh art journey is an epic immersive experience that Mamma says you really need to see.

You and the family will be in awe as you walk (or twirl) around the huge art space here. With 360 degree jaw dropping projections and choreographed music you are quite literally inside the beautiful paintings by the great Van Gogh.

The technology is flawless with a synchronised symphony of sound and art swirling around you. There are little ‘break out’ areas too if you are feeling like you need to take a moment as it is quite an emotional experience at times. Mamma found herself being transported directly into the world of Sunflowers and Starry Nights and even time travelling to the days of Van Gogh.

This is an ever changing canvas and it is easy to get lost in moment after moment after moment.

Can you take the kids?
ABSOLUTELY! The kids will love it - ALL of ours did from the babies to the older ones this is the kind of space where kiddos can skip, crawl, dance or jeté as it is a safe and very cool gallery space for all ages. It is even pram friendly! We have seen lots of amazing things over the years but this is quite special and something we will talk about or indeed go back to again to experience.

There is even a little cafe/bar too so if you need a little snack - that’s handy. Oh this is also a great night for date night too!

Mamma’s special mentions: Kids 0-3 are FREE. The floor is super soft and would be great for bubs who can crawl. A little noise is ok too as they chase the lights and ooohh and ahhh at the projections. Take a seat and enjoy your Van Gogh experience.
