The long weekend has arrived, and fun is in the air - it’s that time of year again! Moomba excitement has hit Melbourne and Mamma KNOWS this is something most folks look forward to.

It has been entertaining Melburnians and international visitors since 1955! It’s free entry and runs for five days!

Check out the famous Moomba Carnival at Alexandra Gardens, catch family-friendly concerts at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, and discover a series of pop-up performances, Insta-worth florals, and illuminated red buildings across the city.

This year we look forward to new and exciting rides, carnival games and entertainment. There are rides for all ages ‘cos Mamma knows the big kids like to get in on the action too! For the younger ones, Alexander Gardens will have Little Action set up, packed full of fun. The braver daredevils may want to check out the Freak Out or the Sky Flyer!

Besides the rides, there are also heaps of FREE activities for everyone to get involved in, making the Moomba experience an accessible adventure for every family.

Depending on what tickles your foodie fancy, Moomba accommodates most dietary requirements. There are always the favourites like hot dogs and hot chips but this year we look forward to a little more to choose from like Chooh La La and Twisted Fishman plus lots more. Yum!
