LEGO® Star Wars: The Exhibition @ melbourne museum
/What goes together like cookies and cream? Or should I say like Chewbacca and Han Solo? LEGO and Star Wars of course!
Starting May 4 - such an iconic date - the latest exhibit from Australia’s own Brickman has opened in the touring hall at Melbourne Museum. This tribute to the most iconic cinematic series within our lifetime is incredible. Brickman’s team have used over 8 million bricks and in total, 25,000 brick building hours to complete! In every corner there are things to see, plenty to learn and even things to make.
What things were Mamma's crew blown away by? We love the lightsaber making and photo station, the GIANT Death Star (who knew there were so many parts inside this space station), Anikan’s pod racer, and the very cool BB-8. Even the sign at the entrance to the exhibition is amazing - filled with storm troopers.
Mamma loves that there are plenty of opportunities for the kids (and kids alike) to build their own LEGO creations. Although they can’t come home with us, there are stations in almost all rooms, providing inspiration for some creations. You can even contribute to a giant mystery masterpiece.
The exhibition entry process sends in waves of patrons - about 70 at a time - allowing you to move smoothly through the various rooms. Popular spots, like having a photo at the behind the wheel of the Millennium Falcon, will have a small line, but on the whole moving through the exhibition space works well. Mamma thinks you will have an intergalactic time!
