the general assembly, south wharf
/When eating out with kids, sometimes there are the times to challenge their tastebuds and let them experience something new. Other times, you are after an easy win and is best to find a venue with a kids menu you know will be a winner. For this Mamma - it’s pub grub and The General Assembly know how to make some great crowd favourites.
Located on South Wharf, this casual eatery is perfectly positioned on the Yarra, with impeccable city views and situated nice and close to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and DFO. Watch the world go by on the river side or all of the shoppers on the Polly Woodside end. There is heaps of room here, so it’s a great option for a group of peeps, or if you are heading into town with the pram.
The food and beverage list is fantastic - the cauliflower is a must if you spy it on the menu, closely followed by any of the signature cocktails. And the kids - give them fish and chips any time and they are sure to be super happy!
